The Australian Poker League uses a points system to power qualification into our State Finals. Some regions also use these points as a method of qualifying into monthly/quarterly Regional Finals. This points system is used for the following Leaderboards:
- Regional Leaberboard;
- Event Leaderboards; and
- Venue Leaderboards (for venues that host more than one weekly event).
The system is based upon the number of players registered for any given event. All players will receive a minimum of 10 points for taking part in an event. If an event has less than 20 players, 16th-9th will still receive the set minimum of 10 points.
Players will be awarded Tournament Leaderboard points in the following fashion:
Leaderboards which adopt this points system are reset every season on a quarterly basis and can also be used to drive venue-specific promotions.
