What a sensational series, and we couldn't have done it without you! The APL600, hosted at Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL Club, generated a whopping series prize pool of $3,085,495 across 10 days and 52 events! With winners from all around the country, this brand-new Sydney series took the state by storm. APL600 Main Event Champion: Afshin ‘Andy’ Behniya

With a dominant final table display, Melbourne’s Afshin ‘Andy’ Behniya was crowned the inaugural champion of the APL600 Main Event. The tournament generated a total of 1,567 entries across nine Day 1 flights, more than tripling the initial $250,000 guarantee.
Andy bagged his Day 1 flight with 403,000 in chips, just under double the average. He converted this into a chip lead at the final table and defied the Sydneysiders to take the trophy back with him to Victoria. What a way to claim your first APL trophy and biggest-ever tournament cash!

John Mack, the champion of the second-ever $100K Invitational, overcame the odds with an incredible comeback. Entering Day 2 with less than half the average stack, John clawed his way to the final table and emerged as the ultimate victor.
A true APL grinder, John earned his qualification by topping his local region’s season leaderboard three times in a row in 2024. His clean sweep of the entire 2023 calendar year meant he’d placed first for his region for seven consecutive quarters—a remarkable feat!

Jim Pizanias emerged victorious in the largest Centurion field ever held in New South Wales. After navigating multiple chip swings and a heads-up battle against Kenta Ito, Jim’s patience and perseverance paid off, securing him his biggest live tournament cash.

Jackstar Super High Roller Champion: Kenta Ito

Fresh off a runner-up finish in The Centurion, Kenta Ito rebounded in spectacular fashion to take down the Jackstar Super High Roller. In doing so, he added another major title to his impressive resume and secured his first six-figure score.
“I can’t believe it!” Kenta said in disbelief post-win. Regaining his composure, he added, “This is redemption.”
