We’re thrilled to be launching two new Poker Series in 2020, with the APL Poker Tour (APLPT) and Super Series arriving in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria.
These massive quarterly series offer over $1,000,000 in guaranteed Major Event Prize Pools in your state every year!
AUSTRALIAN POKER LEAGUE POKER TOUR (APLPT)
The APLPT will see 11 events held over three days with a massive $200,000 guaranteed for the series, including a $100,000 guaranteed all cash prize pool for the Main Event. The Main Event has a $150 buy-in with a re-entry and players can participate in multiple Day 1’s at local venues and take their best stack through to Day 2 at the host venue.
Day 1 of the $100,000 guaranteed APLPT Main Event will be held in various locations with exact dates and venues TBA. Please keep your eye on the website for more details.
The series will also contain The Showdown, a $550 buy-in with $40,000 guaranteed all cash prize pool and The Monster Stack with a $275 buy-in and $25,000 guaranteed all cash prize pool. Check the Major Event section of the website for the full APLPT schedule.
The APLPT will be held in Sydney four times a year and the Player of the Series will walk away with a $5K APL Million Package.*
POKER TOUR CREDITS
In 2020 we will also be launching Poker Tour Credits (PTC). Players can win their way into the APLPT by collecting Poker Tour Credits at APLPT regular APL events.
PTC can be used like cash to enter any event during the APLPT series. 1 PTC = $1 worth of value at the APLPT. The winner of each APL event with the PTC Logo on the website receives 50 PTC for first prize. Players can use PTC, cash or a combination of the two to buy into APLPT events.
Players can view their PTC balance on PlayAPL.com in the Major Events or within the members section once you are logged into the website.
PTC won are valid for the next 2 APLPT events in your state.
Once a player has 150 PTC or more, they may transfer any portion of credit over the initial 150 to another player.
SUPER SERIES
The second new Series to launch in 2020 is the Super Series, a quarterly weekend of poker events which includes a $50,000 Best of the Best and a $30,000 State Champs.
Players can qualify into the $50,000 Best of the Best in the following ways throughout a season:
- Finish top 5 on an Event Leader Board in a season, or
- Finish top 5 on a Venue Leader Board in a season (if a venue runs more than one event a week), or
- Finish top 20 on a Regional Leader board in a season, or
- Finish top 50 on the State Leader board in a season
- No add-ons, top-ups or roll downs
Players can qualify into the $30,000 State Champs in the following ways during a season:
- Finish 1st at any regular APL event
- 2nd at any event over 40 players
- 3rd at any event over 80 players
- Play 25 games in a season
The $30,000 NSW State Champs include a $25 Lifeline option.
The NSW Super Series includes $20,000 in side events.
Each season runs for exactly 3 months, the first season starting on 1/1/20.

Check your PTC balance by logging in and clicking on the next APLPT tournament inside the Major Events or members section of the APL website.
To log into the APL website simply click the Profile link. If you haven’t yet updated your details, your Username is your APL card number or email address and your Password is your surname.
If you have forgotten your login details you can SMS Poker 0457 079 119 to receive your login details – this will only work if your mobile number is correct in the APL membership system. You can update your mobile number in your website account or ask your local TD.
*3% of every prize pool contributes towards the Player of the Series.
