“One week in and it has been a massive start here at Southport Sharks for the 2024 APL Million.
The $100,000 Player of the Series promotion has been embraced and there is fierce competition across all three tiers.
Some outstanding results in the first week with Mike Maddocks taking out the opening event and over $112,000 in prize money.
Amador Bermejo drew an enormous $26,000 bounty in the Mystery Bounty and our very own Jackie Glazier took out the Ladies Championship for almost $7,000.
From an operations perspective, the Million has never been more smooth, with 4 new dealer co-ordinator/floor manager positions, additional TD assist roles and the support of a full compliment of back of house staff, seating, dealing and executing the series thus far has been flawless.
I'll have another update next week. I strongly encourage everyone to come down to Southport and jump into any of the 45+ remaining events.”
JACKIE GLAZIER HAS CLAIMED VICTORY IN THE LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP!
We're excited to announce that our esteemed APL ambassador, Jackie Glazier, has claimed victory in Event 10 - the Ladies Championship. Jackie showcased her skills by besting a field of 70 entries in the $350 Ladies Championship, adding another impressive win to her poker resume.
This marks Jackie's third APL title, and her first individual trophy since June 2022. It's a testament to her consistent performance and dedication to the game.
