2024 has kicked off in spectacular fashion, and it's all thanks to our dedicated players who made the APLPT Queensland series a phenomenal success. Over the course of 9 days, we hosted an impressive 41 events, awarding over two million dollars in prizes, making this the most successful APLPT Queensland series to date.
🥇🏆 $100K INVITATIONAL CHAMPION - MIKE MADDOCKS 🏆🥇
A special congratulations to Mike Maddocks, who clinched victory in the inaugural APL $100K Invitational. Despite being known as a Pot-Limit Omaha specialist, Mike showcased his versatility by triumphing over 265 competitors in the traditional two-card game, taking home an impressive $30,000.
🏆🏆 MAIN EVENT TRIUMPH - WINSTON TAN 🏆🏆
Winston Tan etched his name in the APLPT record books with a stellar performance in the Main Event. At just 21 years old, Winston reached four final tables, secured two trophies, and emerged as the Main Event champion, earning $24,350, a $1,500 APL Million Seat, and a $100K Invitational Seat. A bright future awaits Winston as he balances poker success with studies at Monash University.
🏆 JACKSTAR SUPREMACY - MISHEL ANUNU 🏆
Mishel Anunu made history by becoming a two-time Jackstar champion. Mishel had a commanding chip lead throughout most of day two and negotiated the lions share in a three way ICM deal, taking home an impressive $72,980. This victory surpasses his prior best cash and highlights the growth of the APLPT series.
